My favorite high altitude cimbs are on 6,000-meter peaks, where I do not have to spend so much time at base camp and where some can be done in a single fast and light push from base camp and return.
As with the 8,000-meter peaks I have climbed, I have also been very fortunate to climb on many smalller technical peaks, some multiple times. A few of my climbs include Pumori, Kang Guru, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Huascaran, Huantsan, Chopicalqui, Ranrapalaca, Tocllaraju, Artesonraju, Caraz, Alpamayo, Piramide de Garciliso and Huamashraju.
Most of my alpine climbs are in Nepal or Peru and a lot were completed with my dear friend Sammy Mansikka, whom unfortunatley died on the descent from the summit of Annapurna in 2015.
I'm trying to get my act together and put a few words on this site about the above climbs soon.
